Mood board From Pinterest
this is my mood board from Pinterest...
This is a screen shot of a mood board on Pinterest, I find it very inspiring due to the very specific reflection.
Antonio Gutierrez
We got inspired by Antonio Gutierrez to take our own photos of this topic. We did this by by placing a jug in front of our partners face and moved it around to crate different affects. I find Gutierrez work interesting because when the face if behind the water is changes the structure, makes it look abstract to me I find that very artistic. The photographer is very mysterious as not much is written about him on the internet.
Distorted Reflections
These are my water reflections I created inspired by an artist called Antonio Gutierrez. I filled jars with water to take these images and I placed them in different places to create these.
Our images were inspired by a photographer called Antonio Gutierrez, he mainly focuses on capturing pictures of people faces behind jugs or cups of water.
Sebastian Mgnani
Sebastian Mgnani was the artist we were inspired by to take mirror reflection pictures. He is a photographer that takes pictures of mirror reflections of nature, he was born in 1985 in a small village in Canton Valais,Switzerland it was surrounded by mountains. He started to get into photography when he started to become a media designer in 2006, in 2011 he started to take his talent to the next level and become professional.

Mirror Reflections
I took my pictures all around school. I created my pictures very similar to his as he takes pictures of mirrors reflecting trees, green woods. These shots were inspired by Sebastian Magnani, they would of looked a lot better if i had used a better mirror and placed them in a better position.
Tom Hussey
Tom Hussey is a American photographer who's strongest point in photography is commercial advertising. In 1987 Tom graduated from Southern Methodist University, his work is mainly about an old person staring into a mirror and the reflection is them selves as a younger version. I find his work very satisfying as the reflection shows a whole story of how their lives have changed and who the people used to be.

strand 1 Halloween reflection
This was my halloween project I created, I did this by taking two separate pictures. Lottie as my model for this I took one picture of her looking at the mirror then another one of her with the mask on. We were inspired to do this by the work of Tom Hussey his work is similar in a way he uses him self and takes pictures of him doing things what looked like at different times but captures it all at the same time to create that illusion.
Reflection of identity
This is one of my final strands I used my sister for this, we shot this in my bathroom. Both images are different in one she Is siting on the edge of the bath tub and another one of her standing up I joined these two images by using photoshop. this was an idea I wanted to do for my final piece.
strand 2 reflections in water
SALAVA SEMENIUTA
She is an artist and photographer, she was born in Siberia but nearly all her life she has lived in Minsk(Belarus). He uses neon colours in nature as its abstract to finds it brings out more life he also uses then because he thinks they are mysterious and magical. He likes to draw also when he was a child he was interested in science fiction and documentary. I really like his work its really inspiring, the use of his neon colours .

1 Distorted reflection
These are my Original Photos...
These are my edited photos, I did this in photoshop this was another distorted reflection I decided to create. I did this by editing the whole background out and only keeping the the head, face and bowl of water I wanted to create some thing different, I like the way there is no background. this gives a ghost like illusion. I used Tyler and Amir for this project.
Paul M Smith...
Paul M smith is the artist I got inspired by to do my final strand, he was born in 1969 he is British as he was born here. His work is based on the same person doing different movements in each photo for example one of his projects is about a man in war showing the before and after, all in one shot. He has made many amazing projects I have gotten really inspired by his work because I find creating projects like this very interesting as I really enjoy it, my final strand is based on his creations.
Here is some of his work.
As you can see in each shot the same guy is used, I can see he has used photoshop to create each shot each image has been taken in the exact same position but the individual moving or standing in a different position.
final strand
I used photoshop to create this image , I used a tripod to keep my camera in the same position and made Lottie move and pose in a different position each time. After I selected my for images that I wanted to use for this and then went into photoshop and added each picture one by one to create this final piece inspired by Paul M Smith.
Liliana - Enlarge one of the images from your first Distorted Reflection shoot - edit it and analyse it.
Put your most recent Distorted Reflection shoot (contact sheet) down at the bottom as one of your strands.
Analyse your best images from this shoot. Continuing editing them so you have 3 final images in total.
Complete your full artist research section on Sebastian Magnani and then analyse your photographs inspired by him.
Create a research section just before your Halloween shoot on Tom Hussey.
Write what your intentions are of your Halloween shoot.
Show your Photoshop screenshots from your Halloween shoot. Then, analyse your final image.
Describe your intentions of the shoot you did in the bathroom.
For another strand, I would like you to do something inspired by Anthony Goicolea and/or by Paul M. Smith, as you were really good at the Multiple Exposure images from your Force Unit. This will include -
- writing a research section on one of these artists that you didn't include in the Force Unit.
- doing a shoot where you are reflecting someone within the frame with themselves.
- editing and recording your screenshots of it.
- Analysing these images and then developing them by taking the images with variations in different poses and locations, using different concepts. You could develop this as your final strand if you want to.
Crop and edit your coloured bottles of water so you create new compositions.
Stay after school on Thursdays, in order to catch up.
