John Stezaker...
John was born in England in 1949, he currently works and lives in London. He creates his work by taking the image and then overlaying and conjoining them with other images. Stezaker attended Slade school of arts in London (teen years ) he graduated in 1973 with a higher diploma in fine arts, his work is now hung up in many museums and galleries. I find his work very fascinating as the work looks less modern then the usual we would look at, and the use of overlong pictures on top of each other. He was also one of the first men of British conceptual artists to react what was then the predominance of pop art .

Nick Gentry...
Nick gentry, he is a contemporary artist who uses oil paints to create his portraits, Nicolas James Gentry(same person as Nick) is a British artist from London. Much of his artistic output has been generated with the use of the contributed artefacts and materials. He was born In Britain on the 29th of May 1980 and he also attended Central St Martins Collage of Art and Design. I find his work very interesting as its abstract to all the other photographers, he used loads of old disk cases to paint over to create there images.

This photo below was Taken in Photographers gallery.
This is a picture i took in the Photographers Gallery, i think it really goes well in my broken page as it's an image showing left over/food thrown on the floor. As you can see cakes mushed up and boken this really sets that 'broken' affect.

Process...
This is my re-creation for Stezaker.
This was the out come, i used my mum and dad for this as a took a picture of them looking at each other original. Then to make it more interesting I cut the picture in to two and flipped my dad to be in the position my mum was in. I then got the eraser and rubbed out my muscles face so it looks like my dad has my mums hair. I did this to create a abstract\broken look, inspired by John Stezaker.

contact sheet...
This is my project inspired by Nick Gentry, the reason why the girl is red is to represent stressing anger and the cigarette (not lit and the girl doesn't smoke) this is to represent underage smoking. This is meant to show the 'Broken' side of teenagers.I choose nick as one of my 3 strands because he is my favourite artist out of all of them because I find his work very interesting.
Favourite Artist
Nick Gentry is the Artist I have decided to work with for the rest of the year, I have chosen him because I find his work very interesting and really inspiring to create my images into interesting projects.
